Welcome to the “Dog Days” of Summer.
The name conjures up an image of a dog panting in the hot Summer’s heat, yet this is only a vague memory of what this time is about. There is a three week period beginning early July that goes by the strange name of “The Dog Days.”
With our busy lives, measuring time has changed. We have gone from sundials and planetary motion to a cell phone bill charged by the second. Scientists frequently measure milli, micro & nano seconds.
